Modern No Scalpal Vasectomy vs Old Method

The figures below are from a study of 560 patients at a practice in Surrey.

I think these figures illustrate why NSV is the ‘Gold’ Standard. My own surveys pre and post retraining have shown:

23% reduction in pain during the procedure
59% reduction in pain following the procedure (on average now 1.3 days)
46% reduction in any discomfort following the procedure (on average now 3.5 days)
75% found very little or no pain at all pain during the procedure
80% found very little or no pain at all following the procedure
90% said it was a better experience than they were expecting
100% said they would recommend it to a friend

Overall it is a much better method than the traditional version. All vasectomies should be No-Scalpel, there’s no good reason to go for anything else!
